About the bridgwater convention

Being confident in the bible's timeless truth

The Bridgwater Convention, run on behalf of the churches in the area, is a weekend of teaching and seminars exploring how we can be confident in the Bible. God has spoken to us clearly about the importance of teaching His Word, and people coming to Bridgwater for sound Bible teaching. Although Bridgwater may seem an unlikely or inappropriate place for this to happen, there is something of a parallel with the Keswick Convention which has drawn people to a village in the Lake District for Bible Teaching since the 1800s – also an unlikely place for such a gathering. This is the second time we have run the Bridgwater Convention as a step of faith in direct response to God’s leading and trust Him to bring fruit from it.
